What's On
The Watering Place
Nestled within the complex of buildings that comprise Thomas Gainsborough’s eighteenth-century merchant house, The Watering Place is a perfect tranquil spot for lunch, coffee or a piece of cake.
The Café and Bar are both located on the ground floor and boast glorious views out to Gainsborough's beautiful, secluded gardens and its famous 400-year-old mulberry tree.
Tucked away upstairs, above the café in the timber-framed long gallery, we are creating a cosy live music listening room. This is the new exclusive home of “The Sudbury Sessions”.
The perfect pre-show dining experience...
Hosted by Ben and Steph, this family run cafè by day, will be evolving into an exclusive candle-lit dining experience just for the Sudbury Sessions live music nights. Offering a fine À La Carte Menu in the evening before the concert begins... booking early is essential to avoid disappointment.
